What's your roll? Sushi Roll? Tissue Roll?

If this is the first time you have heard about this line, I do not blame you for that. Because today I will be blogging about OKONOMI Publika. What's make they so special? OKONOMI in Publika has opened for six months in the market. In this food industry which has many competitive, OKONOMI create their customized sushi roll and mouth watering Matcha desserts.

My first time to OKONOMI thanks to Foodink for the invite. Actually one thing I really feel thankful about is Stella from Foodink keep email the food invite to me even though I never been to their review before. But this time, I can finally went to their invite at OKONOMI Publika. This will be my first time food experience with Foodink. I hope there will be more foodie experience with Foodink again.

Back to today post, as you guys know I been a Japan Cuisine fan and this time been able to try out OKONOMI New Menu is my pleasure and now is the time to share all this noms photo to all of you!

OKONOMI at Publika. It was located left side of Old Town and Opposite Urban Tower.

[About]

Knowing that F&B is one of the most competitive industry, OKONOMI strived to create something different by giving more options. They serve mainly Japanese fusion menu highlighting the customized Maki rolls. From a choice of 40 different fillings, 20 different sauces and dressings, and 16 different toppings, you can make your own Maki roll according to your liking. Even if you failed to make up your mind, OKONOMI also offers house rolls created by the chef.

Mango Prawn Salad RM20.90
Succulent Prawns, Mangoes and Japanese Cucumber topped with Tobiko and a Mango Salad Dressing Served over Mixed Greens and Cherry Tomatoes.

Let's start with some appetizer with Mango Prawn Salad, sour and appetizing with their dressing. Prawn was really fresh and chewy. Fresh mango slices and salad dressing that create the best appetizer to start our food in Okonomi.

Caeser Salad Roll RM19.90

Uramai, Soy Wrap, White Rice, Chicken Karaage, Crispy Coral Lettuce, Boiled Egg, Croutons, Grated Parmesan Cheese and Cheddar Mayo.

New and fresh on their menu. If you wish to start with something healthy and not too oily, This Caesar Salad Roll might be the right choice for you. Dip onto the Cheddar Mayo sauce and just eat it with 1 bite. I love the layer inside this roll, soy wrap, coral lettuce with the filling of chicken karaage. Healthy wrap with crunchy chicken karaage.

Crunchy Crab RM26.90

Uramaki, Seaweed, White Rice, Hokkaido Crab Meat, Soft Shell Crab, Carrot, Tempura Crunch, Togarashi and Cheddar Salad Dressing.

I love all the combination of the seafood in just 1 bite. Since I am a seafood lover, this roll I seems to love it. The sauce on the plate was slightly spicy just to spice up the flavor of the sushi roll. The crab meat on the topping and soft shell crab as the filling seems like a perfect combination together. Recommend for those who love crab and seafood and sushi roll!

Tempura Squid RM25.90

Tempura battered deep fried Crispy Squid Slices.

Freshly fried out. Not too oily yet it remain the juiciness of the squid.

Ebi Fry (5 pieces) RM15.90

Deep fried succulent breaded Prawns.

I love prawn and this deep fried succulent breaded prawn definitely caught my attention. But it has slight a lot of succulent bread cover with the prawn. But with its gold and crunchy outer it definitely caught the attention of me.

Unagi Pasta RM32.90

Fresh Grilled Unagi served with a Teriyaki Glaze.

In love with this Unagi Slice!! It comes in such big slices that I really surprise with it portion. Although I am not a fan of Unagi, but this unagi looks really tempting and yummy. The slices was medium thick and with the flavorable Teriyaki sauce on it, it actually add on more flavor to the unagi. Recommend to eat it with the pasta to have more yummy taste bud.

Chicken Gratin RM18.90

Generous portion of Juicy Chicken and Mixed Mushrooms in rich cream sauce.

This portion was really big with the Chicken and the Mushroom sauce together! I love mushroom and this rich cream sauce taste merely like mushroom sauce that I really fancy. Juicy big fresh mushroom by the look. Presentation of the food definitely worth to try. Chicken slices was really thick and tender too.

Prawn Kakiage RM18.90

Deep Fried Tempura Battered Prawns with a teriyaki glaze, carrots and onions garnished with spring onions.

A flavorable taste of fried tempura with vege. I actually like how OKONOMI prepare their deep fried dish that are not too oily but at the same time it maintain the juiciness and taste of the food. If you are not a fan of deep fried food, you can definitely try it at OKONOMI.

A rich Matcha Cake filled with Delicious Matcha Chocolate Molten Lava, drizzled with powdered sugar and served with vanilla ice cream, matcha chocolate sticks and fresh strawberries. 15 minutes preparation time.

Finally what I long for is here! I can't tell you guys how much I love this Matcha Lava Cake, the texture was smooth and not too sweet as well. I was pretty surprise with the Mild Matcha Taste in my taste bud, it taste so rich and smooth in my mouth. Try not only eat the Matcha only, but with the sponge cake and ice cream, you will be surprise with the combination. To all Matcha Lover out there, don't miss this Matcha Lava Cake!!!

The slowly melted out lava looks so tempting. The smell of Matcha will continue to stay in your mouth after you taste it.

Not forget there is another Chocolate Version of the lave Cake as well. I feel so fulls with the sushi rolls and yummy dessert. If you are not a Matcha lover, don't worry as they do have other desserts, such as chocolate parfeit and definitely taste as yummy as their matcha desserts as well.
