Din Tai Fung, 1 Utama with Worthy Book

Hi peeps, is gonna to another weekend of December. I can't bear how ties flies and soon Christmas is here and so do 2016 year. I hope I can have more time in blogging because I been busy with Christmas and Holiday in this month. It was a really happy and full filling month for me. I get to know many new friends, get a new mirrorless camera, and go to Bangkok soon!!

Opps, stop my ranting first and I will start to blog about the wonderful makan session with Worthy Book Team at Din Tai Fung, 1 Utama.

[Din Tai Fung] Din Tai Fung was originally founded as a cooking oil retail shop in 1958. As the consumption patterns of cooking oil started to change in the early 1970's threatening the survival of the business, Din Tai Fung was transformed to a restaurant in 1972 serving Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Dumpling).

The New YorkTimes, 1993, rated Din Tai Fung as among the top ten restaurants of the world, the only Asian Restaurant on the list. The Pavilion branch has been voted as the top Chinese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. in 2013, Din Tai Fung was ranked No 1 in the "101 Best restaurants in Asia" list, released by US based food website, The Daily Meal; and world's second best chain for travellers by CNN.

The green pea is fresh from Taiwan. The wheat gluten is really soft and delicious. A nice and delicious dish for who are vegetarian.

川辣口水鸡 Spicy Sichuan Chicken RM15.90

Yummy chicken and the meat is so tender.

The sauce is slightly spicy but overall is still acceptable.

小笼包  Din Tai Fung Pork Xiao Long Bao XLB RM 11.20 (6pcs)

When you just bite it, you can taste the juiciness of the xiao long bong, really addicting when the water just pop into your mouth. Highly recommend since Xiao Long Bao is one of their famous signature dish. Don't forget to dip with their soy sauce + vinegar + ginger slice! The taste is so delicious!

[Din Tai Fung] The art of making Xiao Long Bao is a delicate process. The flour wrap must be of a certain consistency - too thick and the dumpling is dougy, too thin and it will break easily. Even the soup within cannot be too abundant or too greasy; nor can the can the meat be overcooked.

At Din Tai Fung, each Xiao Long Bao is wrapped in delicate - yet firm -  translucent skin, and each dumpling has at least 18 exquisite fold. Steamed to perfection, the meat filling within is plump and juicy to the bite.

Their famous house sauce and chili oil. Highly recommend and its 1/3 Portion of their homemade soy sauce and venigar.

A really simple guide to enjoy Din Tai Fung Pork XLB in a delicious way!

虾仁烧卖 Steamed Shrimp and Pork Shiao Mai RM15.80 (6pcs)

This Shrimp XLB thick is slightly thicker than XLB. The juiciness is not as yummy as the Pork XLB, underneath was the pork filling inside as well. If you are a shrimp lover, you can add this as in your menu too!

酸菜肉丝搅拌面 Sauce Noodles with Pickled Mustard Greens and Shredded Pork. RM14

A mild and light taste dish with pickled mustard greens and shredded pork. I can't describe how smooth Din Tai Fung handmade noodle are. Smooth and really Q noodle to just slurp in!

This noodle taste much better than the first noodle they serve. Really appetizing and the shrimp is again so soft and tender.

酸辣汤 Hot and Sour soup RM10(Small) RM15(Big)

I really love this soup. Although from the color and the look, this soup doesn't looks like hot and sour soup. But when you sip it, it actually spicy and hence the spiciness you feel in it your throat if you keep drinking this soup. Recommended this to whom who loves spicy soup!

虾葱搅拌面 Sauced Noodle with Shrimp ( Dry)

This is their new dish and not appear in the menu yet. To all the shrimp lovers, don't you think the shrimp is looking delicious!!! OMG~~ So fresh and chewy and with their handmade noodle. The texture of the whole dish is smooth and yummy!

虾葱搅拌面 Sauced Noodle with Shrimp ( Soup)

I love fried rice~~~ You can say Din Tai Fung fried rice is the most delicious egg fried rice I ever taste. Each rice was fried evenly and the pork chop was super yummy! I love how juicy it was and the herb they fried with the pork chop is so tasty. Golden fried rice and yummy pork chop!

Don't get tired or bored with their shrimp dish. Because their shrimp in all the dishes was so chewy and fresh! You can just eat non stop!

咸蛋金瓜 Golden Pumpkins with salted eggs RM17.50

A rather disappoint dish because since it was fried with salted egg. But I just can't taste the fragrance of the salted egg, the taste was rather cover by the taste of the golden pumpkin. The dish is hot and freshly fried, be careful when you eating it!

蒜泥白肉 Fragrant Pork with Crushed Garlic RM15

Fresh pork slice is really thin and the taste was slightly spicy as well.

The Fish Dumpling surprise me and you can't really have taste a fresh fish dumpling outside but only at Din Tai Fung! The fish filling is so fresh and tender, the juiciness is so sweet and tasty. Recommend to order too if you are at Din Tai Fung.

豆沙小笼包 Steamed Red Bean Dumpling RM13.50 (10pcs)

A really cute small Red bean dumpling! I really admire the hand of the chef, how could they fold these tiny dumpling until it was nicely folded with pattern. The taste was surprisingly yummy! The red bean is so full filling and you can't even taste the dumpling skin! Another recommend dish for all.

宇泥小笼包 Steamed Taro Dumpling RM13.50 (10pcs)

The sweetness is not as sweet as the red bean dumpling. Rather light taste and weak taste of taro. Hope they can improve the taste of taro, so that we can taste more sweetness of taro as well.

千层糕 Chinese Style Layer Cake RM6(small) RM10(Large)

A really yummy traditional layer cake love by Chinese. Perfect match dip with black sesame and condensed milk.

I think the red bean have more fillings than the taro dumpling.

豆浆芝麻汤圆 Sesame Dumpling in Home made Soya Bean
